Christmas is not cancelled!

The message of hope that is Jesus Christ remains in 2020.  Nothing could stop that.

Things will however be a little different for us all, and that includes the way we can do things in the church this year.  We hope to provide something for everyone.  Please take some time to look at the ways in which you and your family can look forward to the season.

The angel appeared to the shepherds, saying: 'Do not be afraid, I bring good news of great joy that will be for all the people.' (Luke 2:10)

Advent and Christmas Services

There is something for everyone this Christmas.

Whilst there are some considerable adjustments to the pattern of Advent and Christmas service for 2020, the season of joy remains.  Please find the Advent and Christmas Services page for dates and times.  Whilst some service will appear to run normally there will be limits on the number of those who can attend, so booking-on is essential.  Live streaming or pre-recording of services is usually available.

Comfort and Joy

For Christmas 2020 the Church of England is sponsoring it's message of Comfort and Joy.

Comfort and Joy aims to provide some prayerful and worshipful opportunities for the home.  You will be able to find Advent and Christmas online services and reflections in booklet and audio form, and as an app for iPhone and Android.  Archbishops Justin Welby and Stephen Cottrell will be sharing a series of daily reflections 'Nine Lessons and Carols', between Christmas Day and 2nd January.

We have ordered a batch of the printed Comfort and Joy booklets, which are immediately available from the Church Office for free.  Please call before coming.

All the details and resources will become available from the Church of England as we approach Advent.  So do please keep coming back this page to check fort the latest.
