Advent and Christmas Services 2022

‘The three wise men....ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over the place where the child was.

When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy.

(Luke 2:10-12)

Advent Services and Christmas Carols

For Sunday 4th December the traditional choral service of Darkness to Light will be once again run in St Bartholomew’s from 6:00pm.  This is a lovely atmospheric Advent service of the ‘O Antiphons’, sometimes known as the ‘Great Os of Advent’.  The antiphons are of ancient monastic origins, which recite the names and attributes of Christ.

The big annual Parish Carol Services will be in Sunday 18th December at 4:00pm in St Christopher's and 6:00pm in St Bartholomew's.

Christmas Eve 24th December

2022 sees the return of our big Christingles services in the afternoon of Christmas Eve.  There are two service at St Bartholomew's, which are the same, at 3:00pm and 4:30pm.

All you will need is a Christingle. If you picked up one of our 'make a christingle packs' from the Christmas Market - you are good to go!  Otherwise, you can pick up a christingle at the service on Christmas Eve.

The Candlelit Midnight Mass will be as normal for 11:30pm in St Bartholomew's.
