Holy Week and Easter Services in the Parish

Easter is the story of God’s greatest gift, and His greatest miracle.  Jesus Christ the Son of God came to live amongst us, died for us, and rose again that we might find new life and new hope.

What more meaningful message could we tell a society which has known the fearful realities of the Coronavirus, the reassurance of key workers, and the miracle of a vaccine?  When Christ came, he came for all, spoke to anyone, showed love to everyone, died for all of us, before bringing resurrection hope to the whole world.

If you wish to come to the churches, these services will require you to book-on through the parish website, by following this link.  Many of these services will be live-streamed.

This Easter of 2021 especially sharpens our sense that we live as those who depend on each other, loving our neighbours and being loved by God. Since the glorious arrival of baby Jesus at Christmas we have lived in dark winter in every sense, unable to visit our families and friends, unable even to come into God’s house.  It seems especially appropriate that the reopening of our parish churches for worship should begin with another glorious arrival of Christ on Palm Sunday.  In hope we shout Hosanna!  Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord!

Rector Chris has worked with his team to provide as much of the Easter journey as possible, whilst continuing to respect our need to stay safe with social distancing, and many of the other adjustments we have had to accept over the last year.
